Capt. Hector has been fishing the Laguna Madre bay system since he was 8 years old, but decided to start fishing professionally full time in 2010. He always wanted to be a science teacher or a coach. Fishing mixes his love of biology with helping people achieve their potential. He loves nature and making his passion his career was the best decision he's made. The best thing about being a captain is the memories and smiles he creates for customers, together with a beautiful experience they will not forget. You'll come on a fishing trip with Capt. Hector as a customer, but you'll be back fishing with him again as a friend and part of the family!

He clearly knows thee bay inside and out—he put us on fish quickly, and everyone in our group caught something. His command of the boat and the lines was impressive; everything ran smoothly and professionally the entire trip. The boat itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Most importantly, my kids had an absolute blast and felt included the whole time. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable captain who knows where to find the fish and makes it a great day for the whole family, Captain Hector is the real deal.

He was knowledgeable, patient, and worked hard to keep us on the fish all day. He made our experience super enjoyable and he really tries to make sure you catch the fish you are looking for. he knows the spots and he knows what gig and what set up to use. if you are coming to south padre to do some bay fishing choose hector.
