'I left the corporate sales world to pursue my dream job...charter fishing. I've fished the waters of Cocodrie my entire life. I love fishing for big Trout on topwater!' USCG certified Captain Todd Black was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA. He began fishing the waterways of Cocodrie, LA as a young boy with his dad and the original owner of the boat, 'The Black Velvet'. Captain Todd's favorite fish to catch are Big Trout on topwater and Mangrove Snapper. He and his team will do their best to make sure you have a memorable day on the water.

    We had a blast! The Freeman boat was smooth as glass as we went out 80 miles, gear was top notch as well. Will be back to fish with Fish Head again! Carried my 3 year old boy as well and he loved it!

    The offshore trip I’ve ever been on. The boat is a hot rod , Gear is top notch, the crew Branson and Paul are great hardworking deck hands , Capt Todd is a great Capt and one hell of a sportsmen . These guy know how to get on the fish fast and catch monsters

    Great day of fishing! Awesome crew, unbelievable boat and great fishing. Todd (FishHeads Guide) put us on Swordfish all day. Guys have been raving about the experience all week. I have fished with dozens of guides…. Best trip ever!!
