Captain Devin grew up fishing the Outer Banks of NC. He has also fished professionally all over the world, Africa, Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, Bahamas just to name a few places. Since 1993, he's been running inshore trips on his charter boat Poacher out of Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. I've fished my whole life and still get excited from a bite whether it's a Spanish mackerel or a large cobia. I especially enjoy the families I take with small children seeing them running to the rods in a good bite!

Passeio de dia inteiro - Lado Oceânico • 3 adultosI've been fishing all my life and this was among the best fishing outings ever! The captain and mate put us on fish and were extremely helpful. Rods, baits, and lures were constantly being changed as we moved locations. I can't tll yo how may ties we had doubles and triples going with no tangled lined and smooth teamwork and communication. Just as we were throwing in the towel and told the captain that we had more fish than we'd hoped for and were just plain tired from all the work, he managed to put me on a big bull red that shattered my personal best. When all was said and done, we had 182 lbs of fish for the fish cleaning crew! So many albacore! We will definitely be back!

We started catching blues right out of the channel and then went on to catch Spanish Mackerel, False Albacore, and Atlantic Sharpnose Sharks! I think the catch weighed in at over 213 pounds! This team is great at not only catching what they target, but also treating the fishing party with respect and patience, something a lot of charters could learn to be better at! Thanks for a great day!

Passeio de meio dia • 6 adultosI told captain Devin I wanted to catch some bigger fish than what I usually caught in the sound with other fishing boats. He told me that there were some big bluefish biting a good ways out so we went out 8 miles off shore. With Devin captaining the boat Spencer the deck hand helped all of us get our rods and reels out into the water and continuously helped us with the fish that we caught. Devin put us on the fish and we ended up with our limit on bluefish. After we hit the limit on bluefish we decided to start fishing for albacore and mackerel while on the way back to the dock. Only ended up with one mackerel but it was an amazing fishing trip. 10/10 recommend captain Devin and his deck hand Spencer. Best trip so far we had a Total of 24 fish between 3 people.

Passeio de meio dia - 6:30 AM • 4 adultosAs soon as we got to the fishing spot it was one after another Bluefish. Then we moved to try and catch some Spanish and were successful. After that we went and caught a nice shark and ended the day trolling back to the inlet catching a few more spanish and blues. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. First mate Spencer was awesome. Highly recommend.

Spencer kept all rods baited and untangled like a machine while helping our group of six… non stop. The 84 pounds of fish (minimum) we caught included 8 sharks! When we returned to the marina, Devon and Spencer put the fish lined up on the dock, and took group photos. The cleaning crew whisked away the fish to be cleaned and filleted. One is able to purchase coolers and ice at the marina. A fabulous time was had by all!

Fale albacores have started to show for their September October feeding. Loads of bluefish in all sizes. Spanish are biting well. Sharks still around. A few drum nit many.

August has started off with a bang! Big red drum showed up out in the ocean. Plenty if coastal sharks have been around. Blues and Spanish aling the beaches. Ive landeda few amberjack on 6 hour and all day trips along with somesea bassand triggerfish. False albacores usually start to show mid Aug. they are great sport. Open dates available.
