Captain Curtis is a 4th generation USCG licensed charter boat captain who grew up fishing the waters of Alabama and Florida from Dauphin Island to Pensacola, who started Max Drag Charters Llc over a decade ago. Your captain for this vessel will be Captain Christopher Powell ( Capt Bebo), He is working on his 4th season as captain for Max Drag 2. He and the crew are fun and caring people who will make sure your trip is both fun and productive and, above all, unforgettable.

    i had several red snappers, red grouper, tigger fish, almost had a 4 foot Copia. we are going to come baxk to land that one. the kids loved it. the deck hand owen was great. he was very helpful knew where to be and when. alwys kept everyone baited and ready. the captain knew where to go to find big ones and knew when it was time to move on. loved it we will see yall again soon

    Captain Bebo put us on the fish immediately. Deckhand Jake made sure we did everything right. And was busy from start to finish. I would highly recomend Max Drag Charters. We are all rookies and limted out in 4 hrs. great experience highly recommend. would definitely use them next year.

    Captain Bebo is very nice, deckhand Bracktson busted his butt to make sure we all had baits and handled our fish. Being able to sit inside when needed a break was very awesome. Captain put us on fish all day. Would do again!!

    We enjoyed our fishjng trip. We caught red snappers and spanish mackerel. Captin and crewmate we nice and helpful.

Embora a época alta possa ter terminado, o tempo só está a melhorar por aqui. Sem mais chuvas, as águas estão geralmente calmas e a mordida é excelente, com Corvina-vermelha a testar a sua linha na costa, e Espadim em alto mar.

NEARSHORE Triggerfish season is open and they are biting along with vermillion, lane and mangrove snapper. Of coarse it's sheepshead season as well and as always their giving it up. The cobia are starting to pop up and a few have been caught so far. OFFSHORE The Tuna and wahoo bite is really hot right now and as it's warming up the billfish has as well. Just a few mahi have been caught so far but they're definetly out there.

We started late leaving out due to a storm. But one the way out to the platforms that we like to fish around 60 us miles. We catcht a nice wahoo. Shortly after we showed up to a platform and started trolling. Bam instantly hooked up we fought the first fish for about 45min before we could stick a gaff in it. It was about 70# and after that it was just a steady bite and yeah we lost 5 good ones but we caught 5 biggons and well over 30 smaller ones. Book now while the bite is ? and dont let these storms discourage you from booking we're wide open over here. If you cant find a place to stay then reach out ti me and Ill make sure you will.

October bite is on fire

The october fish bite has been on fire. From pelagics to bottom fishing. The water is starting to clear up closer to shore and is beautiful further out which makes for a great fall bite. Book now while the fish bite is red hot. If you have a problem finding a condo to stay in( because some took some damage from the storm) just reach out to us and we can point you in the right direction.

Fall is here and the fish are biting

Its fall and the fish are here. The mackerel have finally shown up and are biting really good on our trolling trips. The vermilion snapper amberjack and grouper bite is great this time of year. We even found a nice school of mahi one trip nd loaded up.The tuna action offshore is starting to spark up.
