    Great experience!

Passeio de pesca de 6 horas2 adultos

Captain Ryan is excellent. He has extensive knowledge, all the right equipment and is passionate about catching fish. On our trip we targeted trout and that’s exactly what we caught. We had great communications from the very beginning, and he went out of his way to accommodate us. I highly recommend him and his company. He has extensive knowledge of all areas of the Adirondacks and can specifically target whatever type of fish species you’re looking to catch. This experience is definitely worth the money.

Had a great time on our fishing charter to Upper Saranac. Captain Ryan had all the gear we needed and was very knowledgeable of the lake. Caught an assortment of bass and pike. Weather was cold and windy but everyone enjoyed themselves! Highly recommend. Ask for Captain Ryan!!

We spent two days with Captain Ryan and Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. We caught a bunch of fish both days. The captain has a great boat and great equipment. He was also very helpful with my boys who came along and fished. Highly recommend him.

    Memorable Day

Passeio de pesca de 6 horas2 adultos

First time out using a guide and first time fishing in the Adirondacks. This was also the first real fishing trip for my youngest son. Ryan was wonderful from the start, quietly managing everything and providing helpful advice when needed but stepping back when we were making progress. We caught around 10 bass, four quite nice sizes. Two larger ones were caught by my son, which really made his day. I highly recommend Ryan, who knows this region really well and guarantees you some great fishing.

Spring Trout season is here and its my f

abr 5, 2026 • Lake Placid
We’re right on the edge of ice-out across the region, and spring trout season is just about ready to kick off. Most ponds are still holding some ice, but shorelines are opening up more each day. Once that ice finally disappears, the bite should turn on quickly. This early season is one of the best times of the year to target brook trout and lake trout. Cold water temperatures keep fish cruising shallow, making them more accessible whether you’re fishing from shore, canoe, or boat. Look for sunny afternoons to warm the surface slightly — that’s often when the most consistent action happens. As soon as ponds open up, slow presentations tend to work best. Small streamers, spoons, and soft plastics fished methodically can produce great results. Wind-blown shorelines and shallow drop-offs are prime areas to focus on during the first few weeks after ice-out. May is shaping up to be a fantastic window. With aggressive fish, fewer bugs, and quiet backcountry waters, it’s hard to beat spring trout fishing. Limited availability remains for guided trips, including hike-in and portage canoe adventures as well as boat trips for lake trout and landlocked salmon.
