Targeted Species: Smallmouth Bass & Largemouth Bass Green Lake is just starting to get good again. Now that the colder nights have finally arrived this is now triggering the Late Summer to Early Fall Bite which has been starting to produce some really decent size smallies. Weed edges have been the key. Smallmouth Bass: We have been catching several smallies on gravel humps or rocks the size of basketballs have been producing the best catches. Largemouth Bass: Have been moving into some of the same areas where we are catching the smallmouth bass. Wacky worming and drop-shotting effective along 12-16’ edges. Ned Rigs have also been a very productive bait choice. Northern Pike: While we have not been specifically targeting northern pike but we have caught several nice 30" pike during the last few weeks during a few guide trips.

Now that the night time temps are starting to drop a little bit the Big Smallmouth Bass are starting to bite again and they are starting to group up. We have been catching several 20 Plus Inch Smallmouth Bass in the last few weeks and the bite is only going to get better. The weather is finally starting to work in our favor. It was almost glass calm on the lake all day. The clouds where perfect and so was the fishing. We started at 6am and fished for 8 hours. So today we kept track of every fish that we caught and took lots of pictures and video. We caught over 50 bass, mostly smallmouth bass and 10 largemouth bass, 1 Walleye, I think we had 4 Northern Pike and of course some rock bass.
