Vermillions!

We started our day out deep in 180 foot near a wreck, where we cuaght our verms, a trigger, some jacks, and a scamp grouper! As we worked our way back inshore we where drifting a spot for snappers and a large shark with a huge cobia swam up to the back of the boat. Me and my mate where able to hook the fish and our client did a great job fighting the fish. We cuaght him in maybe ten minutes and the fish came in very alive on the gaff! We made a few more drifts and came back home with plenty of fish for everyone!

We started our day about 30 minutes offshore catching some live baits like grunts, cigars, and spanish sardines. After that we had about a 40 mile ride out to the ledge. Our first few drifts where slow for the vermillions, We got this big amber jack and our first mutton. After a few spot more drifts we hooked another and had the sharks fired up so we moved spots. While we where drifting we hooked and caught 2 nice mahis and a bonita. we moved spots quite a bit but it was worth it becuase our last couple drift of the day we caught our last two muttons. Everybody had a great time and went home with big bags of fish!
