Flounder on Cork!

Huan and their crew joined us for an early morning fall trip that started right at dawn. The conditions were set up perfectly for our 5 Hour Morning Bay Fishing Trip with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures. We focused on drift fishing techniques throughout the morning, which proved to be the right call for targeting Black Drum and Speckled Trout. We also mixed in some trolling to cover more water and locate active fish. These techniques work great in our bay system because they allow us to present baits naturally while covering different depths and structures where these species like to hang out. We wrapped up the trip with some solid catches and smiles all around.

The versatility of South Padre Island's fishing grounds really shone through as we moved from spot to spot. We targeted Spotted Sea Trout, a species that can provide some exciting action when you find them. While the fish were jumping into the boat, the thrill of the hunt kept us engaged. We stuck a few trophy trout on this run, but every cast and minute on the water was worth it. The sunny skies provided some relief from the summer heat, making for comfortable fishing conditions as we worked different techniques.
