We’re seeing some of the best fishing we’ve had in years. Very nice chinook salmon, and good numbers of fish have been the norm the past few weeks. We’ve also been blessed to be finding good fishing within a 15 minute trip to the fishing grounds, which means more fishing time and less travel.

August and September are peak months for Chinook, (aka King Salmon). And this season is shaping up to be a fantastic year! Great numbers of kings have been coming in for both mornings and evenings. Other than the occasional slow day due to weather, I would expect that fishing will remain great throughout Aug and September.

There’s still plenty of time to get in on the action. The past few days the coho and rainbow fishing has remained strong, with a few kings (chinook) starting to show up in the mix.

Great action this morning with our 4 person limit of coho salmon. Fishing should only get better from here.
