CATFISH IN THE RIVER TEVERE

During this summer, the best time to catch brown trout is in the afternoon after 6:30 PM. You open windows with insects in the air and the trout magically come out. An hour earlier, you wouldn't see a single trout in the same spot. Fantastic!

Yesterday splendid sunny day in Valnerina, clear water with many interesting spots in the Corno river. We walked a lot. Yesterday we mainly fished with sedge on a size 12 hook because the trout were not very active. However we had fun especially at the end of the evening around 6pm, at that time the red spinners came into the air. At that point the trout started eating continuously for about an hour, a real pleasure!!
