Captain Randy and his first mate made it happen after our intilal 3am fish time was moved to 5pm due to weather. My son and I lost a few at the boat but hey, thats fishing. Randy is a solid guide and a better man. It was an honor to share in the great conversation and Randy even sent us home with fresh king salmon from his own freezer! Luck wasn’t in our favor but Randy and crew busted their tails to make some happen.
Captain Randy and Jackson were great to fish with. They were organized, personable, and knowledgeable. We made the most of the fishing up past when the sun went down to truly maximize the experience. I would highly recommend Big Country Charters.
Captain Randy is knowledgeable, professional and a lot of fun to fish with. I’d recommend him without hesitation for expernuced anglers and new comers to fishing. i hope to fish with him again next time i am in Door County.

It was My Beat friends sons Birthday and we decided to take him on a fishing trip. After reading reviews on Big Country Charters we decided to give him a go. And the reviews were spot on, He was very cautious with weather conditions and decided it would ok to go out and give it a try. We were very hyped on that decision and 15 min into the trip we landed a 27 inch walleye which was proceeded by a 26 1/2 one and several others. He was very talkative with great stories exchanged by all of us. I’ve been on other charters before and by- far he tipped them all. Great Job Captain
It was my pleasure to take the 3 of you out! What a great group to have on the boat and the laughs are still active on the boat!
1. Easy to communicate with. 2. Boat and tackle was in perfect shape, all poles were rigged up well, with no issues. 3. Caught the fish we were hoping to catch - three 20+ lb king (chinook) salmon. Also caught a coho and some steelhead. 4. Randy's first mate Jackson did a great job helping us land fish and answering questions about the fish - hatchery vs wild, life cycle. 5. Offered to clean the catch, freeze it, and ship it home for us - very generous! 6. Great storyteller, personable, and a blast to go fishing with. Don't hesitate!
