Jack was the perfect guide for our first fishing experience in Missouri. He’s laid back, funny, and knowledgeable on fishing. We’ll definitely set up another time with Jack, in the future😎
After some initial confusion due to duplicate booking, I ended up going with another captain on a four hour afternoon trip on Taneycomo. Ended up catching 18 fish including a limit of four. We fished in the trophy water where fish over 12 inches must be returned unharmed. We did not fish near the dam... The captain was young but experienced and an expert fly fisherman. Although I brought my own equipment, I used his since it was ready to fish and of high quality. We changed lures until we found what the fish were biting. We had a great conversation and the time flew by. The only challenges were the lack of water released from the dam and a constantly shifting wind direction and velocity. Even though I've fished Taneycomo many times including with guides, I enjoyed this experience and plan to return.
For our first guided fishing trip, we only scheduled a two hour trip, but we are wishing we had scheduled longer. Jack was very professional and very personable. He has a great knowledge about the lake and where the fish were biting. He was extremely helpful with casting, and ensuring we had a great time. Our next trip back, we will be booking with him for sure!
Captain Jack was awesome and a great choice for hitting the lake. Caught our limit quick and made for a well worth while trip out on the boat. We had a great time and the little one loved it. We’re definitely looking forward to coming back out for another trip with Captain Jack.
The trip was fun even though it was 102 degrees. Captain Jack was very funny and super nice guy. He had a lot of fun with my 12 yr old and she caught some good trout. Me and mom also caught a few. I would definitely go back out with him.
