Capt should of canceled
Due to Hurricane Chris, and even though the storm moved further off Coast, the Seas were rough and mudded up and not ideal for trolling. The captain should have recognized the conditions and cancelled the trip. We trolled around for 5 hours to get sea sick and not 1 bite. The boat was great, the captain and first mate or great. But the decisions to try and fish was unacceptable.
Hi David, we're sorry you didn't catch anything on your 1/2 day trip that morning. Unfortunately we don't cancel trips because the fishing might not be good. There is no way to predict how fish are going to "bite" nor can we predict whether or not the people on the boat are going to get seasick. There were multiple boats out fishing that morning and there was not a small craft advisory. We actually had a trip that afternoon with the exact same fishing conditions and the people had a blast and caught 27 spanish mackerel. I hope that you will try a fishing trip again. My suggestion to you is to wait until a day or two before you want to go fishing and make sure the weather is suitable for you before you book a trip. Have a great summer!!!
