Chili's Sportfishing Isla Mujeres 

This was an epic trip. My second great charter with Chili’s. Captain Rogelio with his crew Paco and Fernando are some real pros and they are super nice. We managed to land and release a double on sailfish on the first bite of the morning! The crew saw the fish come into the baits before the strikes and this helped us get ready for the fight. It took a lot of team work and coordination to bring in 2 fish at the same time but these guys knew how to get it done. Early afternoon we landed and released a 3rd sail. Rounded out the trip catching a bonita and a few mahi for dinner. These guys fished hard until the last few minutes of the trip. Lots of action, great tackle and plenty of fresh rigged baits. Overall a great day and we look forward to going with them again!

Our fishing trip was an 8 hr Big Game trip. Rogelio was very accommodating and picked us up much closer to our hotel so we didn't have to meet down at the docks. We had beautiful weather and they dropped the down riggers and out riggers quick and worked the lines to get fish on them. We started out small with a couple of mackerel and kingfish but started pulling barracuda and larger kingfish in later in the day, with a mahi for each of us right before we headed back in. Rogelio and his crew were great, kept the lines busy, my wife, mom and I reeled in about 18 out of the water that day. The boat is a great size and comfortable. Would book again and hopefully pull in that sailfish I've been after.

We’re probably a bit biased, because Rogelio was our first charter fishing captain ever, 7 years ago when my wife and I both fell in love with fishing. Our first time, we were the only boat (out of & charters that were out trolling that particular day) that caught ANY fish, and we caught 19 of them: Mahi, jack, bonito, barracuda, and others. That was August 2018. Today, we did a short 4-hour trip and caught 1 barracuda and 5-6 Kingfish, two of which were exceptionally large. Captain Rogelio and his two hands worked tirelessly during every second of the charter, constantly rigging fresh ballyhoo, catching live bait, pulling grass off lines, searching for baitfish and birds, etc. They never let their guards down for one second; determined to make our trip as successful as possible, and they even kept us fishing for an extra hour at no additional charge, hoping to help us land more fish. Rogelio spoiled us on that first trip 7 years ago, and we have been on over 30 chartered fishing trips all across the globe since then, and we have yet to find another captain that hustles as hard as he does to land fish in the boat. He is the gold standard against which we measure every fishing captain, and thus far nobody can top him in terms of service, professionalism, politeness, etc. We will be coming back to Isla to fish with Rogelio again and again, and we will be bringing teenagers with us on our next adventure.

On time and very friendly. Captain and crew were very knowledgeable and explained where we were fishing and why. They knew what was in season and we even landed a sailfish! Ask for captain Rogelio. I would recommend them for any skill level. They do take credit cards.

Water was rough, but fishing was great! Caught blackfin tuna, mahi mahi and a sailfish! Captain Magana and crew were skilled and knowledgeable about the ocean environment and the fish themselves. Sign them up, you won’t go wrong!
