Captain Chris's Fishing Adventures 

We had a fantastic trip with Captain Chris. It was a very foggy morning in Tampa, but we made our way safely out beyond the harbor and got the lines in. It took a little while to get started, but once the fish started biting we had a great run — catching about 15 fish across eight different species. Later we moved on to try for some bigger game, but the tides weren’t cooperating that day. We even attempted to hook a 7-foot shark, but it wasn’t meant to be (and Captain Chris said it probably wouldn’t have fit on the boat anyway!). Overall, it was a great experience. Captain Chris was knowledgeable, patient, and made the trip enjoyable even with the tough conditions. We had a fantastic time and would absolutely go out with him again.

Captain Chris started communicating about the trip the morning of, informing us of where he’d be located. Upon arrival, Captain Chris was extremely friendly and informative of what we could expect. He took us to the first spot, and although we weren’t getting any bites right away, we were ensured that it would be worth the wait, and he wasn’t wrong! This was by far the best experience for both adults and older children! He was extremely knowledgeable of the areas to target and the fish we could expect to catch, including redfish, trout, and other surprise species!

Booked this trip couple days ahead Chris reached out when I booked it to get details on what fish I was after and planned accordingly. It was a very hot day and so was the water and even with tides not working with us everywhere we went we had a hit. This guy knows his stuff and will find the fish very knowledge about the fish and ecosystem. Highly recommend this guy and trip this trip.

Loved every minute of it!! The moment we got to Chris we saw manatees. The boat ride was so enjoyable and we saw dolphins swimming on our ride to and from the fishing area! Chris was very experienced and knew exactly where to go and how to get the fish we wanted. Each of my 3 boys caught a large red drum! Chris was very knowledgeable and went the extra mile to make sure we got a great experience. We will be coming back every year!!

I’m a longtime angler who lived in this area for 20 years ago. Chris and I talked and we knew the fishing was going to be difficult because of the weather fronts, it is the fall to winter transition period for redfish, snook and, the super low tides. Capt. Chris still found us some nice redfish that finally got less finicky and hungry enough to bite. Started the day with some nice sea trout fishing with numerous good fish and one 18” monster ( I know it’s not the old days when that was just average size , but everything changes and you have to roll with it) and pulling drag is always good. Then we went chasing the reds.. found a few small one’s (rats) willing to eat before the tide changed and then hooked a real nice one with a great fight and many good runs. Chris has an awesome boat, great handling skills, a wonderful personality, and top quality , well maintained gear. He worked very hard to find the biting fish and we had the bonus of watching a pair of eagles feeding, osprey’s fishing, pelicans crashing bait, egrets and spoonbills working the grass flat as the tide rose. I would recommend Chris for your any of your inshore/nearshore trips in the Clearwater area! He is patient, kinnd, very knowledgeable and passionate about putting you on tge fish, sharing his knowledge and conserving the resources we have so they are available for our future generations to enjoy!
