My love for fishing started at an early age salmon fishing in Iceland. That passion grew and led me to guide on a couple world famous rivers in Iceland. That love shifted towards saltwater when I had access to a boat. When I caught my first 'albie' 15 years ago I was 'ruined', freshwater took a back seat.

He was fun, experienced and made our trip awesome. hooked onto some great fish and he stayed out as the fish were hot.

photos from the past week…. been some small spots with big bass still on them. couple small blitzes of bass ans blues! My fist blues of the year! Some days are a grind some days are insta tight on big bass!

Still some good stripers around on the right tide. This one fell for a small jig just off the bottom.

Summer Bass

Good news. A lot of bass decided the stick around and stay this year. The bite has been very good a several spots on the outgoing tide. Jigs and topwater are all in play still!

Glad to have a veteran onboard. Was a little rough, but we found a way to get it done. After this weather passes over MDW the fishing shoudl be fantastic with calm winds!

Topwater Bass

The reefs have been on fire in the am with big bass (some up to 30lbs) chasing bunker as the tide pushes them against structure. When the sun comes up there are more and more fish hanging low on the reefs where we have been successful vertical jigging for them and using spoons. Some reports of Bluefish sunning themselves on calm days out in the middle.
