Wooooo! It’s been fishy summer so far!

The Vermillion bite has been on fire all year with loads of big Red Snapper released. Their open season starts this coming Friday the 22nd then continues all summer with an additional fall season. Looking forward to another year of full tables and smiling clients!

I have never seen predation at every single location like I did on this trip. The dolphins were hardly letting a vermillion slip by them, but we did manage a few for dinner. We attempted running a few miles from the dolphins 5 different times, only to be greeted with a brand new batch of baddies. They left us the grunts(because they don’t pull off the hook easily), so we put them to use on a few big fish. We also battled a few large sharks due to predation.

Catch and release trip for Torye’s 16th birthday! We caught enough amberjack to make everyones arm sore, lots of smiles.
