The Hunt for GT

Hunting for Giant Trevally (GT) takes patience, effort, and sometimes a little luck. In Bali waters, GT are becoming harder to find. Their spots are limited, partly due to years of net fishing and coral reefs that are no longer as healthy as they once were. On this trip, we returned to an area that was once known as a gathering ground for GT and Amberjack. The water is very cool and we know that it's will be hard to get strike.We tried everything—popping, trolling, and jigging. There was plenty of baitfish around, but strangely, not a single big predator was cruising the area. No GT strike this time. ? That’s the art of fishing—sometimes expectations and reality are completely different. But that’s also what makes fishing so exciting. Every trip is a new story, and every day on the ocean is a chance to escape the stress of everyday life. **Sport fishing is not always about the catch.
