Yellow Perch VS European Perch

After today we can conclude that not everything is bigger in the USA. Our European perch for example is definitely bigger than the closely related American yellow perch. Today we caught perch up to 2lb, fishing with night crawlers, but thats only half the weight of the biggest perch you can catch in Amsterdam. Having said that, I would trade our perch any day for the American largemout bass, or even smallmouth ;-)
