  Lucky last minute half day trip

  I was referred to Captain Jorge by the owner of a house we rented for a week in Port Isabel Texas. We did a charter for Redfish the day before and he asked how we did. I told him we had a few bites but did not boat a fish. I understand that you cannot make fish bite as I am also a charter captain in the upper peninsula of Michigan. He was shocked and said I have a friend captain that had good success the day before. I called Jorge and as luck would have it he had the afternoon free. We met at 1:00 p.m. and five of us caught 11 slot redfish several undersize and I boated a bonus red that measured 29 1/2 in and weighed 11 and a half pounds. The captain was very personable knowledgeable patient and worked very hard to put us on fish. When we return we will definitely be fishing with him again.   Amazing Day on the Water!!!

  Cannot explain how great this trip was. Booked with Captain Jorge and despite all challenges with 40mph winds and cold front pushing through. All credit goes to Captain Jorge to have the knowledge to take us out in those conditions. He knew what and where to go for a smooth ride and great experience. We did not expect much due to conditions, but Captain put us on some BIG Redfish. Water looked like Chocolate Milk and he still made it happen. Mrs. Ballyhoo bait was the ticket. The Oils, and the Bombs was the game changer. To fish in those conditions, and still be one shy of 4 limits was insane. Book with Sunset Charters you won't regret it!

  Afternoon trip with George Sunset Charters

  George was awesome! We had a guide cancel on us in the morning due to high winds, which is understanding, we were from Houston so we didn’t want to let our trip be doomed from winds. We found sunset charters that same day, and george with his experience, advised to do a afternoon into evening fish. We met him at the dock at 3pm and from there on, it was fish on!!! Thanks to George our trip wasn’t ruined, a lot of the other guides didn’t even offer a afternoon trip, they just didn’t want to take us or didn’t know forecast. George made it happen!! When your on his boat make sure you ask for “the juice”. An attractant that his wife makes was amazing. Thank you george!! JUICE IT UP!!!

  Morning trip

  Best fishing trip I've ever been on, never caught a Red that big in my life and I love to fish. In this boat it's different you feel Caption George wants you to have a great time and teach you something that will help you be better at fishing. He doesn't give up until the fish bite and always has reel ready to fish. I walked in with nothing in my hands and walked out with monster RED fillet ready to cook! The Caption is blessed with a gift on putting you on some fish.

  We had a wonderful time. Captain Jorge went above and beyond to insure we had a good trip. Very knowledgeable about fishing and extremely nice. We wanted our son to catch some nice fish and Captain Jorge made that happen. Keaton, our son,, caught a 27 1/2 and a 26 inch red. Captain Jorge kept us fishing an extra hour after the normal stopping time with no extra charge. I highly recommend booking a trip with Sunset Charters and Captain Jorge Erosa.
