Johnny T Good will show you why it's hard to resist fishing in Tampa. This sunny bay offers first-class inshore fishing, and luckily, this is just what Captain John Thomas specializes in. He comes from a family of commercial fishermen, and he's been fishing in this area his whole life.
Capt. John invites you to join him on his 18-foot Boston Whaler flats boat. This vessel accommodates 2 guests, so you can bring your fishing buddy along. Since there's no minimum age policy and children's life jackets are prepared, this can be a great chance to take your kid fishing for the first time!
You will fish the flats and inshore waters of Tampa Bay, and the list of fish species you can catch is amazing – Black Drum, Snook, Tarpon, Snapper, Redfish, Cobia, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, and Spotted Seatrout. Capt. John will prepare live bait before the trip, and he also has a live bait tank to keep it fresh the whole time.
Capt. John will prepare your Penn Battle fishing gear and water, but you should bring snacks and sunscreen. Your meeting point is at Gandy Boat Ramp, and there's free parking close by.

Amazing day with my 9-year-old. He caught some of the largest fish he's ever seen and John knew exactly where to take us to catch them. Awesome experience.

Captain Johnny knew a lot of very good spots, his tackle didn’t fail me once he knew exactly where to cast and where to chum and everything, he is loaded with experience and was a very good guide for my first time salt water fishing. I caught multiple species and some really big fish too. I caught more fish than I could even count. I highly recommend Captain Johnny to my friends and anyone else. I will definitely be coming back to book another trip with him!
