When you go fishing, it's not just about filling up the cooler. You want to have a great time, be safe, maybe meet some fellow anglers, and create fishing memories that will last a lifetime. All of this and more is awaiting you when you book with Northern California Guide Service. Captain Robert Weese has decades of experience and is excited to get you out on the water and start catching fish.
From the get-go, you'll feel close to the action in the 2017 24' Alumaweld Jet boat, custom built to get the maximum out of the rivers that Capt. Robert fishes. Powered by a 400 HP Chevrolet engine, you'll be at the fishing grounds before you know it.
Once there, all 6 anglers can begin to fish simultaneously. Even if someone is fly fishing, you can still all fish at once! This is perfect for team buildings and family vacations. If you're fly fishing, please bring your gear from home.
The boat is fully equipped with safety and navigational equipment, as well as features that will give you that extra edge out on the water. This includes a wireless trolling motor to sneak up on the fish, and a live bait tank to keep your bait fresh and ready to go.
The best time to come for Striped Bass is between April and May, although you'll still find some numbers in the river from March through to August. Sturgeon and Rainbow Trout can be caught year round, but King Salmon can only be caught from July 16 through to mid-December.
There are G Loomis and Shimano rods and reels included in the price. Live bait will be prepared for you before the day. Please bring along your own food and drink and a valid fishing license.
Children are welcome. If they aren't fishing and are under 5, they can come along for free. Let the captain know in advance so he can prepare the life vests.

Both the boat and Captian were top tier. His experience and patience was refreshing as we fished several different methods through the day. He put us on the fish and we didn’t leave empty handed. The bot was perfectly set up for our trip and it was easy to see the superiority of equipment as the other boats struggled to stay on the fish. I would definetly recommend Robert Dunn. We will be scheduling another trip with him in the coming months.

This trip was amazing. Robert is incredibly professional and knowledgeable and put us on to fish. I learned a lot from this trip and wouldn't hesitate to book with him again. If it's your first time fishing the Feather River (like me) or you are a veteran fisherman, you cannot go wrong with this guide service. Thank you so much for making my outing a memorable one.
Booked a 7hour trip with Captain Robert last minute. The booking process was easy, fishing was fun, and we caught multiple King Salmon and Stripper. Capt. Robert passed on great tips and tricks and there was no doubt he knew exactly what he was doing. Would highly recommend.
Took a full day trip with my wife and two sons (14 and 11) on the Sacramento River. Captain Robert was great about accomodating us on an alternate day when our flights were delayed. Everyone caught fish (striped bass mainly) which was great. Fish activity slowed as temperature got hotter around noon and we came in early. would definitely recommend an early start or maybe just half day depending on weather.
We caught a alot if stripers the captain made this trip very special and was extremely helpful and informative would definitely book again!! this trip is best for those who have a love for fishing or even for those who have never been. Before booking I would definitely talk to the captain and wear warm clothes if your doing the morning section.
