4hrs Night Tarpon Fishing Trip on април 14, 2026 • 2 adults
This was my 3rd trip with backwater Tarpon. I booked two back to back trips last year in Aug 2025 but we didnt have much luck catching any Tarpons. I booked another trip (April 2026) becuase i wanted to redeem myself and check off Tarpon of my list. We barely had anytime to sit and relax. bites after bites, crazy fights!! “Mateo” our captain, great guide and a very experienced angler. He knew exactly where the Tarpons were feeding.. As we got to the feeding zone, it was game on. And the cherry on top? we landed a Monster Tarpon as we were wrapping up!! If you’re on fence about booking a trip with BWT? don’t think about it, just do it.

Captain Mateo was amazing. He knew all the tips to find tarpon. We saw them in all the spots we tried. We had a few bites but none of them stayed on the line (such is fishing!). We did catch 2 barracuda though, and we learned a lot about tarpon and fishing for them. Captain Mateo was great with my 13yo son and had great stories and tips for our visit too. The only thing that was tricky was finding their temporary dock, but they communicated well and were very helpful. Highly recommend.

Was a time good, but only caught Tarpon.

great captain and good trip, only wished i booked 6 or more hours. We got to see a lot of wildlife including manatee and sting ray, caught several Tarpon. I wish we had caugh some baracooda too but didnt have any steel leaders rigged, but wouldnt expect anyone to have that setup on a tarpon fishing trip. Got a little crazy a few times, only had to put one kid in a headlock.

our captain Clery was great. he got us on some fish and was great with helping my kids. when yhe fih werent buting he was knowledgeable about local marine life and wild life. this trip is great fo all ages. inwiuld recomend it to anyone. ‘ale sure to bring sun screen as it will be sunny out there. all around an awesome experience.

Manny our captain is the man! He was knowledgable and very fun to fish with. We caught one nice tarpon and lost a few but it was a beautiful night with my family and would definitely go again Manny recommended restaurants and bars in the area and gave us his cell number to reach out with any quaetions while we are in PR. 👍👍👍
