Luminare Sport Fishing 

Although we only caught 4 fish - 2 tuna, a sailfish, and a marlin- the captains and crew made this the best experience possible. of course we would have loved to catch more, but they did their best and were very attentive to the lines. even made us fresh tuna sashimi! would absolutely reccomend these guys, especially when fishing is more in season in costa rica. for this being our first time offshore, I couldnt be more content with how the day went. I can only imagine how fun it would have been to be in-season fishing with these guys!

This fishing trip felt like it came straight out of a storybook. We were fishing among hundreds of dolphins while catching yellowfin tuna—an incredible experience. The crew, Éric and Jose, were fantastic. They were fun to be around and worked hard the entire 9-hour trip to make sure we had every chance to catch fish. Captain Andy stepped in for Captain Pedro, and early in the trip I mentioned that I had spent a full day 2 days prior trying to catch a roosterfish with no luck. On the way back to the dock, Captain Andy remembered my story and stopped at a specific spot, grabbed a rod and fished from the fly bridge while we were fishing on deck, and within five minutes he gave me the rod and I was hooked into a 41-inch roosterfish and another 5 minutes after that my son was onto another one. I’ve been fishing for 45 years, and I can honestly say it felt like watching a master at work. Thank you Captain Andy, and deckhands Éric and Jose, for an unforgettable trip.

The captain and the 2 mates worked really hard to catch fish as soon as we started trolling we caught a sailfish and maybe 20 minutes later we caught 2 more then we decided to go out further for tuna and as soon as we got there he thru the lines in and caught a 55lb tuna and then about 5 minutes later we caught a 200 lb tuna and then hooked another 50lb what a day then we decided to come back in and have some sushi on the boat which was spotless my best day fishing ever

Today my dad and I had an amazing time fishing with Captain Andy, Erik, and Jose! We are from Florida and came to Coata Rica to celebrate his 70th birthday. The team was very easy to communicate with leading up to the charter. They were very friendly and knew their craft in the water! They put us on a school of Mahi early in the morning, and we filled the entire cooler by 9am. My dad caught the biggest Mahi of his life which ended up being 70” long, weighing in over 50lbs! A true tournament winner! The 10 or so other Mahi we kept were all 20- 35 lbs. we also caught a big 40+ lb Big Eye Tuna. Erik and Jose made us fresh tuna sashimi with that afternoon catch. We weren’t able to hookup with any billfish during this November trip, but all in all had an amazing time. I would highly recommend the Luminare team if you are considering a fishing trip in Los Suenos!

What an incredible day on the water! I not only caught my first roosterfish, but the entire fishing trip with Captain Andy, Eric, and Jose was truly excellent. The whole crew was incredibly professional and courteous throughout the day. Captain Andy's expertise was evident as he consistently put us on the best fishing spots, while Eric and Jose worked tirelessly to manage the lines. We even ended the trip on a high note, landing on a school of Jacks, where I reeled in two – both providing an exhilarating fight! Many thanks to the Captains and crew for an unforgettable experience. Shout out to CPT Pedro for coordinating, communicating, and providing excellent customer service. Highly recommend!
