Captain Doug of Jewel of the Bay Charters delivered an exceptional experience during our spring break trip. From the moment we got on the water, it was clear he not only knows how to find fish, but also genuinely cares about the people he’s guiding. He showed incredible patience and attention with my son, making sure he was engaged, learning, and having a great time throughout the trip.

What stood out most was his passion for fishing and his ability to share that enthusiasm in a way that made the day memorable for both of us. This was more than just a charter, it felt like time spent with someone who truly loves what he does and takes pride in creating a great experience for his clients. I would highly recommend Captain Doug to anyone looking for a top-tier day on the water.

me and my fiance went out looking for tarpon and captain Doug did eveything he could and made this trip amazing!! Since we werent in full season and they are tricky fish we didnt catch one but Doug still did his best and set us up perfectly… we will definitely be back!!! thanks Doug:)

Captain Doug put us on fish right away we probable caught on over 50 + fish and nice size , many species bluecats, seatrout, snook, redfish, Doug is very knowledgeable and a very nice human being awesome trip and awesome Captain

We had a great morning with Doug- we could not have asked for a better experience. Doug is a very knowledgeable and personable captain. We caught a wide variety of fish! As tourist, we also enjoyed learning about the island from Doug.

Incredible morning, caught so many fish!

We spent a morning fishing with Capt Doug who picked us up at our dock in Anna Maria. We caugh tons of fish and took home several to grill. The Captain was an interesting and friendly man who worked incredibly hard the entire trip since we caught so many fish. It was a great excursion for kids who need to keep those poles bent to be happy!
