These waters hold game fish like Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Lane Snapper, Amberjack, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Gray Triggerfish, and more with any luck.
Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Trips with Into The Gulf Excursions are great for kids of all ages, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Don't forget to bring snacks!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 28' Strike fishing boat that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Don't leave home without sunblock (NO SPRAY CAN SUNSCREEN), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation. BYOB.

Captain Hugh was great!

We were a family of 4, new to fishing in the gulf. We had a great experience. Captain Hugh went the extra mile in all aspects of our excursion. My boys had a blast catching fish & were in a competition to see who could catch the most. It was fun watching them catch our entire time! Very personable & friendly. I would recommend Captain Hugh!

The weather was windy so it limited how far we could go out. We did catch several fish but only on red grouper that we could keep. Captan Ernie and Opie did a great job describing the area and shared lots of fun fishing stories. We were limited to the day that we went out knowing the weather wasn’t ideal but it was still fun and we would do it again.

Hugh and Josie are amazing hosts! Very personable and informative. We were able to see dolphins for the majority of our 2 hour trip, some within 20 ft of the boat. Awesome outfit, would recommend to anyone!
