These waters hold game fish like Amberjack, Gag Grouper, Tarpon, Blacktip Shark, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Great Barracuda, Spanish Mackerel, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Flounder, Redfish, Tiger Shark, and more, depending on the season. Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Jackson can also help you specialize your trip!
Your adventure begins aboard a 31' offshore sport fishing vessel with capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

My youngest daughter’s first charter, and what an incredible experience! Captain Jack and First Mate Josh were absolutely fantastic. They had us on fish almost immediately and kept the action going. My daughter caught a bunch of sharks, had an absolute blast, and made memories she’ll never forget. We couldn’t have asked for a better crew or a better first charter experience for my daughter. I would highly recommend this boat to anyone looking for a great time on the water. We’ll definitely be using them again the next time we’re back in Hilton Head! 🎣🦈
My wife was so impressed with how jackson and his crew josh took care of our children and made their experience as first time sea-fishing and shark fishing was AMAZING.. we caught several sharks. kept one bonnet head. My wife said she wants to come back to the Runaway Crew next year.
Caprain Jackson and his first mate did an amazing job from start to finish. i would definitely recommend this crew for families. We were Two moms and three teen boys. We caught several sharks and a stingray. We will definitely use this crew for future endevors!
