From the initial enquiry, through booking and organising transfers from the resort, Odette couldn’t have made the process any easier. The time on the boat with Tess and Maika was exactly what we hoped for. Great blokes with nearly 50 years of experience between them they made the most of pretty rough seas by finding good locations and getting everyone on board some of the nicest fish we’ve seen as well as giving me the best “one that got away” story with a massive GT smashing my lure near the boat, almost pulling me overboard and bending my heavy duty hook like it was spaghetti as well as exploring and showing us the amazing scenery in between bites. The lunch that was provided was homemade and delicious and the spot we anchored to eat it was even better! We’ll definitely be returning to catch up with the boys and to hopefully add the catch. I would give this fishing trip 6 stars if I could! From the very beginning, the communication before the trip was excellent. They kept us well informed about all the important details, especially the potential weather impact, wind, and gusts that could affect our trip. They also asked about our sea worthiness so the captain could factor that into the decision on whether it was safe and comfortable enough to go out. That really made us feel that our safety and comfort were their top priority, and that we were in very good hands. On the day of the trip, Captain Maika and Ian were absolutely the best—friendly, professional, easy to work with, and great with our family. The sea was a little rough, but Captain Maika did an amazing job making the ride as smooth as possible. You could tell he was very experienced, not only in finding good fishing spots, but also in choosing locations with the reef barriers in mind so the boat would be less rocky while we were stopped and fishing. Our kids absolutely loved the trip, especially the jigging part. They were so excited and managed to pull up quite a few fish throughout the trip, which made the experience even more special for our family. Overall, it was an amazing and memorable fishing trip. We felt safe, well cared for, and had a fantastic time on the water. Highly recommended!

This trip exceeded expectations in every way. Our Captain and First Mate were friendly, helpful and definately knew their way around. The boat was super clean with lots of room to sit when motoring as well as space for fishing. They found multiple places where the tuna were feeding on the top of the water which was super fun to watch as well as fish in. We saw 3 whales and caught a beautiful 25kg tuna. We were not able to take it with us as we are flying out tomorrow so they are going to take the fillets to the hospital for them to cook for their patients. We couldn’t have asked for a better trip! Please - if you are conidering a fishing charter - this is the one you want to book!

From the outset, Locals Offshore was extremely well organised. I received communication in a timely fashion to arrange my lunch and all other matters needed before the trip. On the day, my crew were excellent. They picked me up on time, walked me through exactly what would happen during the day and, most importantly, put me on to fish! Ended up with 4 Yellowfin Tuna and a couple of other fish. We tried a number of different techniques, not just trolling, which ultimately led to the increased catch. Absolutely excellent experience on the day and would highly recommend these guys for anyone wanting to take a fishing trip in Fiji!

We had an awesome experience out on the water—definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The crew put us on some incredible fishing and we ended up landing some large yellowfin tuna, which was unreal. The captains were friendly, professional, and super accommodating the entire time. You can tell they know what they’re doing and genuinely want you to have a great experience. Everything felt well-run and relaxed, which made the trip even better. The only thing I’d love to see improved is some kind of option to freeze and ship the catch for visitors who aren’t local. We ended up with amazing fish but no easy way to bring it home, which was a bit of a bummer. Overall, though, highly recommend—great crew, great fishing, and a memorable day on the water. Would absolutely book again.
