English Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re looking for an unforgettable fishing experience in Sayulita, this charter is an easy recommendation! My parents were visiting from Washington and they absolutely love to fish, so we wanted to give them a special experience. Instead of leaving from Puerto Vallarta, we made the short drive to Sayulita—which not only saved money, but also gave us the chance to enjoy another beautiful Pueblo Mágico. The day started by catching live bait fish with a net, which was something we had never experienced before. In many places in the U.S., you simply stop at a bait dock, so this felt authentic and exciting right from the start. The boat was well stocked with snacks and drinks, and the crew shared great local insight along the way. Captain Fernando and Chilo were outstanding—friendly, professional, and highly skilled fishermen. Once we reached open water, still within sight of shore, it was amazing watching them read the water and spot where the fish were. Their local knowledge and years of experience really showed. They were also excellent with all skill levels. If you’re new to fishing, they’ll cast for you, help you reel in your catch, and take photos of the moment. If you already know how to fish, they’ll take you where the action is and let you enjoy the experience. We had an incredible catch: 4 jack crevalle (also called toro fish), 1 grouper, 6 Spanish mackerel, and 2 chiapin—plenty of action all day long! To top it all off, they prepared fresh ceviche right on the boat using fish caught that day. Honestly, you haven’t had ceviche until you’ve had it this fresh. One thing to note: this is a smaller 6-person boat, so space can be a little tight if everyone is casting at once. But once a fish is hooked, they hand off the rod so you can enjoy the fight. It worked perfectly for our mixed-experience group. En lugar de salir desde Puerto Vallarta, manejamos un corto trayecto hasta Sayulita, lo cual no solo nos ahorró dinero, sino que también nos permitió disfrutar otro hermoso Pueblo Mágico. El día comenzó atrapando carnada viva con una red, algo que nunca habíamos vivido antes. En muchos lugares de Estados Unidos simplemente compras carnada en un muelle, así que esto se sintió auténtico y emocionante desde el inicio. El bote estaba bien surtido con botanas y bebidas, y la tripulación compartió información muy interesante sobre la zona. El Capitán Fernando y Chilo fueron excelentes: amables, profesionales y pescadores con mucha experiencia. Cuando llegamos al mar abierto, aún cerca de la costa, fue impresionante ver cómo leían el agua y encontraban dónde estaban los peces. Su conocimiento local y experiencia realmente se notan. También fueron excelentes con todos los niveles de experiencia. Si eres principiante, ellos lanzan por ti, te ayudan a recoger tu pesca y toman fotos. Si ya sabes pescar, te llevan directo a donde está la acción y te dejan disfrutar la experiencia. Tuvimos una pesca increíble: 4 jureles/toro, 1 mero, 6 macarelas españolas y 2 chiapines. ¡Hubo acción durante todo el día! Para cerrar con broche de oro, prepararon ceviche fresco en el bote con pescado capturado ese mismo día. Honestamente, no has probado ceviche de verdad hasta comerlo así de fresco. Un detalle a considerar: es un bote pequeño para 6 personas, así que puede sentirse algo ajustado si todos lanzan al mismo tiempo. Pero una vez que pica un pez, te pasan la caña para que disfrutes la pelea. Funcionó perfecto para nuestro grupo con distintos niveles de experiencia. ¡Lo recomendamos totalmente una y otra vez! 🎣☀️🌊

This trip was so special and is going to be a lifetime memory for all of us. On the way out we stopped to watch two humpback whales closer than we'd ever seen before. Chilo was super knowledgable about all the sealife and birds. It was all of our first times doing a fishing trip like this and he was super patient and helpful teaching each of us how to reel in big fish. All five of us caught one! For lunch they made us fresh ceviche from the fish we caught, and skinned and filleted the other fish for us to take home to cook. It was all delicious. I've done some of the sales-y catamaran trips nearby and none of them compared to this trip. Definitely going to be doing this again next time we're in town, I can't recommend it more.

Chilo is an outstanding fishing guide in Sayulita, and our trip was absolutely fantastic. I took my two sons out with him, and both of them caught several fish—there was nonstop action from start to finish. The day was beautiful, the equipment was in great shape, and Chilo was professional, knowledgeable, and great with the kids. We caught lots of fish and had an unforgettable experience on the water. I highly recommend Chilo to anyone looking for a fun, successful fishing trip in Sayulita.

With ample support from Captain Chilo, we were able to catch all different types of fish - Mahi Mahi, skipjack tuna, crevalle jack. We also saw tons of dolphins and 8+ humpback whales! Then we went for a refreshing swim to cool off (we also could have snorkeled) and then watched the captain prepare the freshest, most delicious ceviche we’ve ever had onboard. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day!!! Thank you captain Chilo! We can’t wait to go deep sea fishing next time 😄😄😄😄

The boat was great and the crew was aweome. Came down to Sayulita to have a family get away. Was just hoping to catch something with my three teenage kids. Chilo got us on a large group of rooster fish for multiple hours and we even had time to go watch whales. Would recommend boat Azul and Chilos crew for anyone. They also cut our fish and recommended a local restaurant to cook it for lunch (Tierra Viva). Awesome day
