Tortuga Adventures – Tunahawk

Around here the fishing is popular for Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, Albacore Tuna, Yellowtail Amberjack, Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack, Sierra Mackerel, Black Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Pompano, and more, depending on the time of year. Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don't forget to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!

Capt. Ricky will bring you aboard the Tunahawk, a 29' Baha Cruiser with space for 5 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures.

Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

A few items to bring include sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
