Let's go catch some fish with Slack Tide Fishing Charters! Captain Jamie Sneads has over 30 years of experience fishing the local & in-shore waters and is waiting to be your guide as you make memories of a lifetime!
Port St. Joe Bay is known for Speckled Trout, Redfish, Flounder, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Tripletail, Gag Grouper, Red Snapper, Mahi Mahi and more – With any luck and Captain Jamie at your side, you won't come home with clean ice!
On the day of your trip, you're likely to bottom fish using light to medium tackle or trolling, depending on the conditions. Capt. Jamie can also take you nighttime gigging or bowfishing—feel free to ask about this option.
Your boat for the day will be a clean 24' Skeeter Bay powered by a 250 Yamaha Sho that holds up to 6 passengers (life jackets provided), which is equipped with the latest electronics, Bait Tank, Dual Power Pole anchor system, Mini Kota Spot-lock trolling motor, Front & Back Casting Deck, and a Fiberglass T-top to help shade from the hot Florida sun. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water.
Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, as well as lures, live bait & your fishing license. Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons, however Captain Jamie will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Don't leave home without sunscreen, Snacks (no bananas - bad luck lol), bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Wow! What an Experience!

Had we not caught anything the trip would have been a success. The crew knew the water and knew how to utilize the bay. We began the day catching our own bait. Then off to catch trout. While catching trout we saw sea turtles, sharks, and rays. We caught flounder, shark, catfish, trout, lady fish, and pretty sure we almost had a ray.
The crew was so relatable and knowledgeable. We caught plenty of fish for fish tacos that night for a crew of 11.
Would definitely recommend.
We had one boy with us and the Captain showed him the way. He was the best fisherman aboard.

Captain Jaime, is not only a good captain, but a wonderful individual. From the start me and my boys were totally comfortable. Myself and my son are avid fisherman, but my son‘s best friend who we brought along on this trip had never fished before. Captain Jaime took him under his wing and showed him everything to do which meant the world to me and to him. If you don’t book a fishing trip with Captain Jaime, you are truly missing out. I will definitely be booking a trip with him the next time we’re down.

Awesome fishing!

While the weather didn’t cooperate we were still able to get a few hours of great fishing in and caught enough trout to have an awesome dinner. The captain was amazing with the grandson (10) as this was his first real fishing experience. The trip was cut short as we no longer were able to dodge the rain clouds. Would not hesitate to book again. It was an awesome afternoon!

Best Captain in Port St Joe

Captain James was great. Tough day fishing but he worked hard getting us on some nice fish. We got our limit on reds and caught everything from sharks to flounder. Got a nice trout also. He was great with our family and is a good man.
