Whether you're an experienced angler or a first-timer, I'm committed to making your time on the water both enjoyable and memorable. I look forward to sharing the beauty and thrill of Apalachicola's waters with you!

These waters are known for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Tripletail, Flounder, Mangrove Snapper, Lane Snapper, Red Snapper, Black Grouper, Gag Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Cobia, King Mackerel (Kingfish), and more – with any luck, you'll find out for yourself! During the trip you might be light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Brock also offers fly fishing for Tripletail.

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are also a good idea!

Your boat for the day is a 24' Pathfinder center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It has all the essentials. Capt. Brock will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures. Bait is available!

The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

It's recommended to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed!

We booked a trip with Brock Shiver Guide Company in Apalachicola for my son’s 11th birthday, and it was hands down one of the most unforgettable days we’ve ever had!

Brock was incredible from the moment we stepped on the boat. He worked nonstop to make sure every line was baited, that we were always in the best fishing spots, and that everyone had a chance to reel in something exciting. We caught a range of fish—including amber jack, Spanish mackerel, grouper, red snapper, even a shark and a toad fish.

His energy, knowledge, and patience with the kids made the whole experience feel fun, relaxed, and safe. And the best part? He even cleaned and bagged the fish for us to take home—which made it even easier to enjoy the catch of the day with our family.

If you’re looking for a top-notch fishing trip with someone who truly cares about giving you the best experience possible, Brock is your guy. Thank you again for helping make my son’s birthday one he’ll never forget!

Amazing Trip!

Brock was a fantastic captain. Easy communication and fun trip. We had some weather issues and he was able to work with us for the perfect time. I caught my first fish on this trip! The cherry on top was him fileting our catches. 10/10 Recommend! He knows the spots to hit!

Back Bay at its finest!

Brock has a great working knowledge of the tidal flats that only a true local would know and he is a pleasure to fish with.
