Based in Sackets Harbor, NY. At SacHenCruises, we put you on fish. Your job is to reel them in!  This charter is geared towards families, veterans, first responders, and retirees. The cruise includes a Captain and gas so you have no surprise charges.
Feel free to keep all the legal sized fish you catch, and we also do 'catch and release.' Bring an ice chest if you want to take home your bass and perch.

Your Captain has fished these waters for multiple decades so it is a very rare day that we catch no fish.

Local species we target include Smallmouth Bass, Yellow Perch, and Northern Pike. We will even use worms to catch lots of 3-4 inch Gobies if you have small children and want them to have a lot of action. We are not good at catching walleye.  If you catch 2 or more walleye on our trip and you teach us your technique you will get a 1/2 price charter next time out.

You may bring your own gear including your own rod, reel, and lures. If you have no gear, we will provide some light rods, reels, and lures free of charge. On the day of your trip we will likely troll the shorelines and around the islands. We may also anchor and use live bait. We do not go out 15 miles chasing Lake Trout or Salmon. There are other great charters for that type of fishing.

Our boat is a 20' Key West center console with capacity for 2 fishermen. We may be able to also accommodate a spectator.

Fishermen and fisherwomen aged 16 and over will need a New York State fishing license so buy that online before your cruise date. Go to the New York State Dept of Environmental Conservation (DEC) website for details.  It is pretty fast and easy. You can also buy licenses at Walmart and many bait shops.

You are encouraged to bring bottled water, sunglasses, sunblock (non-aerosol). Beer and white wine is allowed in moderation.

At SacHenCruises, we will fish in Sackets Harbor or Henderson Harbor areas depending upon the wind direction.
