There's a fish with your name on it in Dunkirk and Fishunter Charters will help you catch it! With Captain James at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
At this time of year, you will hook into Walleye, and plenty more. You can expect to do some trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are welcome! Just make sure to call and let us know ahead of the trip so we have the proper size life jackets on board for smaller children. If they are 12 years old or younger they have to wear a life jacket at all times while onboard the vessel. You can bring your own child's vest as long as it is Coast Guard-approved. Snacks or sandwiches are never a bad idea!
You'll be trolling lines from a 26' Sea Swirl Walkaround with room for 4 passengers. It has downriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a portapotty onboard for your convenience.
Your captain will provide Diawa North Coast rods and Saltist reels, along with some specialized Eagle Claw rods, and all the lures and bait. Ask questions you may have. We are always willing to explain what we do!
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. Please make sure you have your picture ID with you, we will be in waters that border with Canada, and PA This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be out of season or protected, so the captain and mate will make sure you know what to expect.
Bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, sunscreen, also a cooler to take your catch home!
Alcohol is not allowed. There is a pub at the marina with air conditioning! Good place to sit back while we clean your catch!
