Depending on conditions, you might hook into Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Blacktip Shark, Bull Shark, Cobia, Tarpon, Black Drum, Flounder, Jack Crevalle, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Amberjack, and who knows what else!
On the day of your trip you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. We also offer Flounder gigging. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing and bowfishing.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. You're welcome to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Your adventure begins aboard a 21' Parker center console with capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's always wise to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Captain Jackson is top notch! We had a mixture of skill levels and ages from grandparents to teenagers and he adjusted perfectly to make sure everyone had a good time. He caught a net full of live bait on his first throw and within 5 minutes of fishing my 84 year old Dad snagged a 5’ black tip shark, he put up a good fight but ended up snapping the line. The rest of our time was active, all 6 of us caught multiple times catching 5 sting ray and 5 sharks. The last blacktip was caught by my 84 year old Mom! Captain Jackson cleaned the bonnethead sharks which we had for dinner. He is skilled, knowledgeable, and had great southern hospitality. Highly recommend booking with Island Head and request Captain Jackson! We will see you again next summer.

The trip was great. We caught fish. Captain Jackson was very knowledgeable and engaging. He was great with all of the varied levels of skill in the party. He was very genuine and so enthusiastic about fishing. I would book very highly booking with him!!!
