Sportsman Charters is all about fishing the stunning waters of the Clearwater area. Captain Gary will be your guide, offering their sportfishing experience.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Spotted Seatrout, Jack Crevalle, Grunt, Snook, Gag Grouper, Redfish, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Spanish Mackerel, Mangrove Snapper, and anything else that bites. On the day of your trip you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Your day begins aboard a 23' Sportsman center console with capacity for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
A few items to bring include a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Gary had everything covered and under control. He showed us a great time and his boat is gorgeous. We caught lots of fish and he took the time to show them to us carefully and teach us about them all. I can't think of a thing that I wish had gone differently.

Gary was a great captain, immediately recognized how important the experience was to our son. He was very informative and made sure that our son was successful. We all had a great time on the boat! We caught ladyfish, Spanish mackerel and trout!! Thank you!!
