Make the most of your time in Big Pine Key and go fishing with Macko Sportfishing. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Mike knows them forwards and back.
Fishing around here will often see you targeting Amberjack, Arapaima, Cobia, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Sailfish, Mutton Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Tarpon, Permit, and more, depending on the season.
On these trips, it's common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Mike can also show you kite fishing. For the more adventurous among you, there's bowfishing.
Capt. Mike welcomes anglers of all ages, including kids, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea for a boost of energy when needed!
You'll be dropping lines from a 42' Center console that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible.
Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
You can't go wrong when you bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Macko Sportfishing!
** A Minimum Mandatory Tip of 20% is required for the captains on all trips**
