There's a fish with your name on it in Boca Chica and Jovi Tours will help you catch it!

You're likely to go after Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, Roosterfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Sailfish, Black Marlin, Cubera Snapper, and more, depending on when you go. You'll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Xavier also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.

You can keep any fish you catch, so long as it's legal. Catch cleaning is available, so you can take your fish home to eat. Now that's dinner!

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks – lucky for you, there will already be some on board!

You'll be casting lines from a 27' Scout center console with capacity for 4 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don't forget to bring sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks available on board.
