Spend the day with FuknWicked Fishing and experience some of the best fishing Alberta has to offer on Lake McGregor. Your guide, Captain Jamie, brings over 20 years of experience fishing these waters and knows where to find fish throughout the season.
Located just 1 hour and 20 minutes from Calgary, Lake McGregor is home to healthy populations of Walleye, Northern Pike, Lake Whitefish, Rainbow Trout, Crayfish, and more. Whether you're an experienced angler or trying fishing for the first time, you'll have the opportunity to target a variety of species using techniques such as trolling, jigging, spinning, and other proven local methods. Fly fishing opportunities are also available, though guests may need to bring their own fly gear.
Families are always welcome, and kids are encouraged to join the adventure. Child-sized life jackets are available upon request, and you're welcome to bring your favorite snacks.
You'll fish aboard an 18' center console vessel equipped with downriggers and everything needed for a productive day on the water. Quality rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided.
For guests booking multi-day adventures, shuttle service from Calgary is available for added convenience.
All anglers require a valid Alberta fishing license before the trip. Certain species may have special regulations or harvest limits, so be sure to review current regulations or ask your captain for guidance.
We recommend bringing sunglasses, bottled water, and non-spray sunscreen. Complimentary drinks, light snacks, and food are included onboard. Alcohol is permitted in moderation; however, hard liquor and glass containers are not allowed.

I can’t say enough good things about Jaime! To be honest, I was a little nervous at first. Meeting a complete stranger and heading out on the water for a 3 hour fishing trip was definitely outside my comfort zone. Within minutes, though, Jaime made us feel completely at ease. He was kind, professional, patient, and had an incredible way of making the whole experience fun. He didn’t just take us fishing; he actually taught us. He patiently explained everything from casting and baiting hooks to reading the water and handling fish. He made sure both Maliah and I understood the ins and outs of fishing, and he never made us feel rushed or silly for asking questions. Now for the bragging rights… somehow this man turned two beginners into “pros” in just three hours! We caught 29 fish! I’m pretty sure we’re ready for the tournament circuit now… or at least that’s how Jaime made us feel! The highlight of the day wasn’t even the number of fish we caught. On the drive home, Maliah looked at me and said, “That was the best day of my life.” As a mom, there’s nothing more special than hearing that. Jaime, that was because of you. Your patience, enthusiasm, encouragement, and genuine love for what you do made it an unforgettable experience for both of us. Thank you for giving us memories we’ll talk about for years to come. Exceptional day! Cpt Jamie was an awesome host - he knew the lake, boat was great, had everything we needed and knew where to get the fish - caught a record 50+ fish during our afternoon trip! Jamie & his family are also involved in community/charity work taking kids who have never fished out which was great to hear. Thanks Cpt Jamie for a day we’ll never forget - hopefully we can get back to McGregor Lake again some time from the Ottawa Valley!

captain was very knowledgeable, fun and professional. taught us a lot about walleye and pike for sure. we caught 36 or so with 2 slotter. one was 53 so great filets

If you are looking to catch some walleye then this is your guide. we caught 34 fish in 5 hours. if you are lucky enough you might catch a big pike also.
