If you're ready to start fishing on the Outer Banks, look no further than Tight’n Up.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Black Drum, Red Drum, Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Weakfish, Bluefish, Sheepshead, and plenty more. On these trips, it’s common to fish using multiple techniques on light tackle.
Tight’n Up welcomes kids aboard, so get 'em offline and onto the water! Snacks and drinks are never a bad idea for a boost of energy when needed!
Capt. Cody will bring you aboard a 22' KenCraft center console with capacity for 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing vessel can run without. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Some essentials to bring are bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Our boat is trailered, this allows different options depending on weather and where the fish are biting. Locations are Manteo, Manns Harbor and Stumpy Point.

We had such a great time fishing with Captain Cody! The two-hour trip was perfect for kids. We stayed fairly close to shore, and the water was nice and calm, which made the trip comfortable and relaxing. Captain Cody was very professional and communicated with us really well. Depending on the weather, current, and fishing conditions, the departure location may change, and he keeps you updated and finds the best spot for a fun trip. The kids had so much fun catching smaller fish like pinfish and croakers, and we also caught a 7-pound black drum and even a stingray! One thing we especially appreciated was having Captain Cody there to help with the kids. When they needed help with bait, taking fish off the hook, or getting ready for the next catch, Cody was right there helping them. That meant my husband and I could actually relax a little and enjoy fishing too, instead of spending the whole trip helping the kids. It made such a difference for a family fishing trip! The boat was very clean, and Captain Cody was professional, friendly, and great with the kids. Our whole family had a wonderful time. Everything was easy, fun, and well taken care of. We would definitely recommend Captain Cody, especially for families with kids or beginners looking for a fun and relaxing fishing experience! Liu family

We had the best time catching fish with Cody from Tight’n up Fishing Charters! We never thought we would be catching fish and Big fish at that!. Cody was the perfect captain! My 10 year old nephew and 13 year old daughter had moments of catching pretty big fish. He let them have the moment while also providing guidance and instructions on how to pull them in. This is something we want to continue to go back to and will use Tight’n Up Fishing Charters again! Highly Recommend!

we have been coming to OBX for 15 years. the last 3 we have gone on fishing trips and they get better and better. Captain Cody was amazing for our trip. I absolutely love fishing and was able to catch more than 5 keepers. He was very accommodating and social. My husband and I recommend him to anyone and we will definitely be using his services in the future!

Captain Cody was awesome! He asked us what we wanted to catch and made it happen. It was ours daughters first time on a charter and now she is hooked. Our son caught a 47inch red drum that he will remember for the rest of life. We highly recommend Captain Cody, and will definitely book with him again!!!

We went out from 12 to 4, mid day fishing can be slow, we initially caught a shark and some crokers and pinfish, and of course a few sting rays. The last fish of the day made the trip, a 45” citation red drum, caught by my 14 year old, perfect ending to the trip. We’ll be back!
