Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Johnathan also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Trips with Unbelizeable fishing are child-friendly, so get 'em offline and onto the water! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. You're welcome to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Your vessel for the day is a 25' Panga with capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Your captain will provide rods and reels.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks available on board.
