Your adventure begins with a ride from your cabin at Wish You Were Here Eco Village Inc. to our heated fishing shack. When you arrive, you'll find everything waiting for you:

Fishing rods and tackle
Comfortable chairs
Wood stove and firewood
A warm, relaxing atmosphere
Plenty of great fishing stories!
Our experienced guide knows where to find the fish and will help you every step of the way. When you're lucky enough to make a catch, we'll even cook your fresh fish for lunch! Any legal-sized fish you catch are yours to keep, & your guide will clean your catch before you leave—making dinner at home easy & hassle-free.

What to Know Before You Go?
Guided trips accommodate groups of up to 4 guests.
We'll contact you before your trip to discuss our cabin accommodations, meeting details & directions.
A valid Alberta fishing licence is required for most guests and is not included in the trip price. Please check current regulations and exemptions before your visit.
Dress in warm layers and wear insulated winter boots. Bringing an extra pair of socks is always a good idea.
Light snacks, lunch & drinks are provided. Breakfast is included with Cabin rental and dinners can be added on.
Looking to unplug & spend quality time together? Families are welcome! We recommend this experience for children 12 years and older, although exceptions may be made—just ask.
Whether you're an experienced angler or trying ice fishing for the first time, we'll make sure you have a fun, memorable day on the ice!

My first time fishing in Alberta. The hosts were super friendly and Doug the guide was so patient and informative. The cabin felt like a home away from home. I will definitely book another weekend getaway. Looking forward to trying ice fishing this coming season. Cheers.
Thank you for staying with us in our cozy Wild Bill cabin in the woods and ice fishing was so much fun! Doug is our best guide and also knows how you cook up your catch for lunch too! Laughter and the storey telling is also entertaining but the ice fishing always is the main attraction! We hope to see you again this year!
