The bite was a little slow due to the cold front, but we still caught fish. My son caught an 80 lb stingray as well, it gave him quite a fight and he loved it!

This was a great trip we caught a ton of fish more than I had imagined we would. I would and will be using him for many more trips to come. Captain John is very knowledgeable and helpful with all aspects of your trip from where to stay and places to eat and see. He is a fourth-generation fisherman from right there and it shows in everything about the trip.

John was great to work with. Very knowledgeable, great teacher, and he made sure we caught several fish. My wife and I have only ever freshwater fished, and he did a great job teaching us different ways to cast and reel our catches in. Super friendly guy, and definitely worth the money! If we ever come back to Appalacicola, we will definitely use him again.

We had a great day on the water with Captain John. He works hard and goes above and beyond to get you on fish. His local knowledge is extensive and he shares valuable information on the local ecosystem, including the St Vincent Island/NWR. Highly recommend him for the Apalachicola bay area.
