Cooper Landing Dolly Varden Fishing Charters

Join Jason or Caleb on a full day fishing trip for rainbow trout and Dolly Varden Char. We fish both the Upper and Middle Kenai River June 11 - October 26. Our prime time for the trophy hunters is August 20 - October 26, we have good fishing all season long. Our average Upper River Trout is 16'-20' and the average Middle River fish is 18'-22'. We fish both fly and spin gear using hand-tied flies, hand-painted beads, and conventional gear. We fish out of custom-built drift boats.

Give yourself a full 8 hours on the water and take in everything the Kenai River has to offer! You'll explore the Middle River, the Upper River, or the Kenai River Canyons in search of delicious Salmon and Trout. Your targets will vary depending on the time of year you visit. Make sure to pick up a fishing license beforehand and feel free to bring along any drinks and snacks you'd like to enjoy!

On this trip, you will spend the day drift fishing 8 miles of the Upper Kenai River. This wild area is closed to motors and features incredible fishing opportunities for Salmon, Rainbow Trout, and Dolly Varden. Start times are flexible depending on the season, species, and your needs.

For those NOT wanting any Salmon fishing, please book this Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden trip! Fishing in the Kenai River from a guided drift boat up to 4 fishermen per boat. Private boats available. Book and then call to adjust.

We'll be fishing the famous Russian River with our partner Kenai Cache out of Cooper Landing for prized catch and keep Sockeye Salmon. With past record salmon runs we'll work hard to get you on the fish. Early morning starts to beat the crowds work best but you tell us when you want to go! We supply all the gear and transportation from Cooper Landing- you'll just need a bag lunch and good raingear.

Full Day Drift Boat trip is usually 6-8 hours long fishing for Rainbow Trout from the boat and wade fishing along the way. Salmon fishing is available when the Salmon are running. Sockeye (Reds) from Mid June to Mid August. Silvers (Coho) in August - September. Steelhead can be found on other river by request on a hike in or river bank trip.

Full Day - Walk - In and Wade fishing. Special areas need to be hiked -in to or a short walk from our meeting place. These details can be discussed as we communicate about what your expectations are. We fish for Trophy Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, Salmon and Arctic Greyling.
