Inshore or fishing on the jetties, you will fish for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Mangrove Snapper, and various other species. If fishing nearshore in the Gulf, you will bottom fish/troll for a variety of species that might include Red Snapper, Grouper, King Mackerel, Triggerfish, and other species that can be found on wrecks and other structures.

We can do different types of fishing from trolling to bottom fishing at our local reefs between 5-12 miles offshore. Trolling, we can target King Mackerel, Barracuda, and other pelagic species. Bottom fishing, we will be targeting various types of Snapper, Triggerfish, and various other species.

Thanks to the Gulf Stream's close proximity to South Florida's east cost, you get to target a wide variety of pelagic and bottom species of fish that people travel 50-100 miles offshore for on other parts of the east coast. Enjoy fishing some of Destin's natural bottom and artificial reefs. You can choose to spend your time reeling from the non-stop bottom action or take your chances trolling for something more sporty. The Gulf of America fishery in the Destin area is truly incredible. Make sure to be mindful of the weather conditions and try to book on days that seas are predicted for 2' or less.

Depending on the season and bait patterns we can be fishing around 15-20ft or even up to 70-110 looking for different types of snapper, reef fish and even some sport fish. It can definitely be a fun day of fishing and grocery shopping!

On a four hour trip we will typically not stop to catch live bait at the pass. We will catch it at the reef we fish at. We will target in season species. We will move spots to find the fish. Typically within sight of shoreline. If bottom fishing limits early, we may troll for nearshore species
