Nags Head Dolphin (Mahi Mahi) Fishing Charters

Head out to the productive Gulf Stream on this 8-hour adventure! You'll typically be fishing up to 30 miles offshore, so make sure your sea legs are strong. You'll be targeting Tilefish, Seabass, Grouper, Amberjack, Shark, King Mackerel, and trolling species such as Sailfish and Mahi Mahi. Custom fishing gear will be provided for you, as well as a fishing license for your group, so just bring snacks, drinks, and weather-appropriate clothing.

This 6-hour charter is a longer trip with more range and the potential to fish in the nearshore ocean.

With 28 years of experience, Captain Reed Meredith targets big game fish offshore. It's all we do year-round with the best network of boats that all work together at Oregon inlet fishing center, making it possible for us to provide the best experience for your offshore adventure!

Offshore fishing is our specialty, and this 10 trip will be targeting tuna, wahoo, mahi, marlin and sailfish, depending on the conditions. We will primarily be trolling, and with our Kongsburg SY50 Omnidirectional SONAR and full complement of Raymarine electronics, we can locate and keep you on the fish. We will sometimes use a Greenstick or Kite, or we may bottom fish to try and get some fish in the box. An additional fuel surcharge may apply.

Great option for anglers looking to fish in the ocean and go a little further. *condition dependent. Targeting larger fish with options to bottom fish wrecks and artificial reefs, sight casting and chasing a variety of fish during the trip.

On full-day trips, we head out of Oregon Inlet, traveling 40–50 miles to the Gulfstream. From May to late September, target mahi, wahoo, black/yellowfin/bigeye tuna, white marlin, sailfish, and the legendary blue marlin. Trips may run slightly longer than 12 hours. All tackle is provided, and we don't leave until the box is full and our customers are smiling. Get ready for an unforgettable OBX fishing adventure!
