Alaska Lake Trout Fishing Charters

Join Jason or Caleb on a full day fishing trip for rainbow trout and Dolly Varden Char. We fish both the Upper and Middle Kenai River June 11 - October 26. Our prime time for the trophy hunters is August 20 - October 26, we have good fishing all season long. Our average Upper River Trout is 16'-20' and the average Middle River fish is 18'-22'. We fish both fly and spin gear using hand-tied flies, hand-painted beads, and conventional gear. We fish out of custom-built drift boats.

Sockeye fishing from June to mid-July. Silver Salmon from mid-July to September. Great opportunity to view bears and other wildlife while fishing from our 16' river boat. Approximately a 50 minute flight in a float plane from Homer where we will fly to the west side of Cook inlet. There is a maximum of 3 people or 600 lbs.

We have a variety of fishing available. The first one is fishing from a power boat on the Kenai River for Salmon ( Sockeyes, Silvers, Pinks, and Kings when open), Rainbow trophy-sized Trout, and Dolly Varden. Or take a personal float tube on a lake for fly fishing or trolling for large Rainbow Trout, Grayling, and Dolly Varden.

6 hour trip targeting salmon on the Kasilof River. We will target the species of salmon that is running at the time of your trip.

This trip will cover the middle Kenai River area, below Skilak Lake to Moose River, our takeout. We fish for trophy Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, Silver Salmon (Coho) , Sockeye Salmon (Reds). Come fill your cooler with freshly caught Silvers or delicious Sockeye Salmon. You will be guaranteed a fight of a lifetime! If we go outback to one of the lakes in the area, we fish for Northern Pike, Lake Trout and Rainbow Trout.

A Full Day Guided Fly Fishing trip will give us plenty of time to relax while fishing, enjoying what Alaska has to offer and a break for a nice lunch or snack. Depending on what time of year is is we generally fish for Sockeye Salmon (Reds) and Silver Salmon (Coho).
