We will be fishing in the Gulf of America out of my 25ft Bluewave. Depths of water range from 40ft to 220ft. Possibilities are endless when you drop to the bottom. You just never know what you're going to pull up. Waters are so clean you can see color from 15 feet down.
We will start out at the mouth ofthe river making drops for red snapper. If they bite good then we will use the remaining time to try for red fish.
On this 6-8 hour trip, you'll head to the most secluded spots that only this captain knows of. You'll head into water with depths of only inches, in the mud flats just to get close to the fish. Quite literally, you'll do whatever's needed to catch the fish. Target delicious Flounder and Sheepshead, and exciting Redfish, Trout, and huge Black Drum, to make all your fishing dreams come true.
Headout for all day actionpacked hours of offshore fishing with a local pro! You'll go after a variety of monster game fish including Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Swordfish, Grouper, and Red Snapper. All of your gear, as well as bottled water, is provided but you will want to bring other snacks and drinks to keep you going all day. You'll also need to make sure to pick up a fishing license before your trip. FUEL IS NOT INCLUDED, it may fluctuate based on market price as well as mileage ($800- $1400)
THE SOUTHERN ANGLER PACKAGE is the ULTIMATE fishing package! At sunrise we will leave the marina and begin the day by fishing inshore, primarily for speckled trout and redfish. Later in the morning we will begin our journey offshore to the oil rigs to fish for Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper (when in season), and Cobia. This is our BEST package for those who want to prove that they have what it takes to be a true SOUTHERN ANGLER. Fuel is not included and costs an additional $300 on average

Red Snapper fishing in Louisiana, United States draws anglers from everywhere. These hard-fighting reef fish stack up on oil rigs and reefs just off the coast. They hit fast, pull hard, and taste great, which makes them a top Gulf target.
Captains usually focus on bottom fishing around structure. Bottom fishing means dropping bait near the seafloor where Snapper feed. Many crews also try jigging, which is lifting and dropping a metal lure to spark a strike. Live bait like Pinfish or Threadfin works well, and cut bait lands fish too.
Most trips run a short ride into the Gulf, then hop between rigs and reefs. Expect steady action, clear instructions, and help with baiting, netting, and fish handling. This is a good trip for families and first-timers, and it still thrills seasoned anglers. Bring sun protection, a hat, soft-soled shoes, snacks, and a small cooler for fillets if allowed by your captain.
Louisiana’s coast gives quick access to prime Snapper grounds. Venice is known for fast runs to deep structure. Grand Isle and Port Fourchon offer easy reaches to reefs and nearshore rigs. Shell Beach and Hopedale stage boats for runs into the Breton Sound area when conditions line up. These broad zones hold fish through much of the warm season.
