- Captain Jorge Lazo has been fishing his entire life – more than this, he says that fishing is his life. He became a captain in 2005, and he started out working on Panga boats. Here he met his wife, whose father is the famous captain, Robert Ross. From this point onwards, Capt. Jorge moved on to working on bigger boats, before eventually buying his own fleet and creating Bad Influence Sportfishing. His favorite part of the job is that it doesn't feel like a job at all! He is happiest when fishing, especially when it involves helping customers reel in their dream catch. He also has some serious bragging rights under his belt – once he landed a Yellowfin Tuna so big that it made the world record! It came in at a whopping 424 pounds and took him 1 hour and 45 minutes to reel in on a 50 lb line. What better way to experience the beautiful waters of Loreto, Baja California than under his guidance?
