Captain Javier Insua Pereira comes from a long line of fisherman. He was born in Galicia where his father taught him to fish, the same way his grandfather once did. He's been a captain since 2000 and started running Yellowfin Primero back in 2011. Capt. Javier loves targeting big Dentex, Common Pandora, Amberjack, Marlin and many more. The only thing he enjoys more than catching monster fish is connecting with customers from other parts of the world and hearing their cool fishing stories. He's hosted tons of tourists from every corner of the globe and he speaks multiple languages, including Spanish, English, German, and French. If you're looking for an entertaining and productive fishing trip off the coast of Fuerteventura, then Capt. Javier is your guy!

Half day private trip south of Fuerteventura

We had a great trip with trolling and bottom fishing. Due to strong winds and big waves from the west we couldn't go as far as planned, but Javi the captain still found some very good fishing. We caught several white trevally (Guelly jack) and a huge red-banded seabream (called red snapper in Fuerteventura). We also caught several smaller fish and bonito on the trolling. Javi and his crew are experienced, helpful and really want the trip to be a success! In addition to a good catch, we saw dolphins, sea turtles and lots of sea birds.

Perfect fishing in Fuerteventura

We spend a very good time. The crew was very professional and helpful. The bottom fishing was interesting, cought some nice fish. Overall, the fishing trip was excellent.

Had to stay inshore due to the weather but Javi and Frank gave us a great fun and enjoyable day out and caught some great fish for the table and have rebooked for another trip .
